• The UAB Health System uses Vocera for secure text messaging and certain types of group paging (e.g. Trauma Alerts).

To receive ED trauma alerts or ED resuscitations alerts, you must place yourself “on-call” at the beginning of your shift. Similarly, you will want to take yourself off call after a shift.
