• Sync your shifts to your device/calendar app from a phone or computer.

• Note: this is a calendar subscription, which is a different process than adding a full calendar account on most devices.

• Note: avoid using the “Email Me My URL” method if you can, because the UAB email system adds junk code to the URL when you try to copy it from the email you receive.

• Select your device/app under “Calendar Type” for specific instructions.

• You can access similar functionality and instructions for syncing your calendar on the Qgenda website.

• It is recommended that you place off-requests by using the phone app.

• See images below detailing how to select a date and type of off-request.

• Select a date and hit “Next” to proceed. Then, select a type of off-request.

• The “partial” off-requests can be used to block specific times. The other types of the off-requests block midnight-to-midnight.

• If you wish to remove an off-request, go into the Qgenda phone app, find the off-request on your Home calendar, select it, and select “Request to Remove”. See images below.

• It is recommended that you place and accept swaps via the phone app.

• Note that the receiving physician must also go into the app under the Swap section and “accept” the swap requests.

• A bidirectional 1-for-1 swap will have 2 swap transactions but they can be placed at the same time. The receiving physician will need to accept both.

• Some shifts may be unassigned and available for pick up.

• Click the “Schedules” button and select “Available Shifts W/ My Schedule”

• Toggle between “List” and “Month” to see available shifts more easily

• Click an available shift and you see a green button for “Pick Up Shift”
